Lessons from trauma and the joy of mentorship

I want to openly share the general traumas I have personally experienced, and how I am a witness to what my parents did well, and what I strive to do better. There is immense joy to be found in raising children and being a mentor. I find deep personal enjoyment in this role, as it holds me accountable to consistently improving myself through attaining wisdom. The best way to impact the next generation, more than screaming in the streets or going into a political office, is by truly raising the next generation with wisdom and sound biblical council.

Biblical wisdom for every parent

Proverbs and 1 Peter have been a significant part of my own parenting journey. Through my time as a girls' dean at an academy and as a gymnastics coach, I've learned that we have the power to do so much damage or so much good in a child's life. These biblical texts offer profound guidance on wisdom, discipline, and living a life that honors God, providing invaluable tools for navigating the complexities of raising children.
